The We Love Eating closing event in Bradford will be held on Tuesday 23 June, from 9:30 to 11:30 am, on occasion of the fifth Intergenerational Cook & Eat Event organised by Allerton Children’s Centre. This fun activity will put into action the WLE project’s key messages: enjoy cooking, drinking water, eating together, eating colourful fruit and vegetables, and also enjoy being physically active.

The activity

The WLE closing event in Bradford will count with the participation of local children, their parents & grandparents, as well as pregnant women, who will cook together and enjoy a healthy meal of homemade tomato soup and vegetable pasta bake.

While the food is cooking, everyone will take part in a chair aerobics session with a trained exercise and fitness family support worker. Once the food is ready the whole group will sit together to enjoy their meal, sharing the recipe and activity ideas.

Attendees will also be able to play a healthy meal card game, explore project resources, and take new healthy recipes away with them.
